Wolfrum Road Landslide Update
Background
In April of this year, heavy spring rains caused a landslide near the 200 block of Wolfrum Road. The slide began along the embankment near a culvert and progressively eroded the slope, ultimately compromising a portion of the roadway. For safety, the affected section of Wolfrum Road was closed to traffic.
Engineering and Assessment
Since the incident, the City has partnered with a professional engineering firm to assess the full extent and depth of the slide. This investigation informed the design of repair and reconstruction plans. The firm has since completed construction drawings, project specifications, and bid documents necessary to move forward.
What to Expect
We understand that this road closure has created inconveniences, and we appreciate the public’s patience and cooperation. Once construction begins, there may be occasional equipment traffic near the site, but every effort will be made to limit disruptions.
